A sad note: The Editor has received the news that Eugene Herm Sr. passed away 1-8-89 (Page 5, edited 12/11/87, Schroeder Family Tree.

Reunion Day News:

The Reunion hours are from noon to 8 pm. Aunt Mary asked that you bring EXACT change for your admission. The following fees will be charged:
$6.O0 per adult
$3.00 child ages 5-12
free- if under three

Bill is in charge of the swap meet (clean out those attics, folks!)
Jack will host the honoring of the oldest and youngest members.
Pat Lou is in charge of volleyball
Peggy and Jack - 50-50 drawing
Mary - peanut scramble
Mike - help Jack on Sunday with Delaware rafting.
Karl will supervise a wine tasting party and dive the winner a prize.
He asks that the wine container's label be hidden during the wine tasting event.

Please contact Chris by Aug 7th. with your count for family attendance for the Reunion so she can order the food!!

Don't forget to bring the following: chairs, but spray, inner tubes serving spoons' table cloths, paper towels, cutting knives, baggies and foil for leftovers.

People within a ten mile radius are asked to bring a dessert and the out of towners are asked to bring munchies.

Recipe of the month : Virginia's Apple Crisp

6-8 apples peeled ~ sliced in bottom of 9x9 dish

1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup baking powder
1/2 cup sugar

Mix above together and add 1 egg; mix with fork. Put on top of apples. Belt 1/4 lb butter or margarine and pour on top add cinnamon - sprinkle on top Bake 350 degrees about 45 mins.

For those of you who need directions

to beautiful downtown Wassergass, from South Side they are
as follows:

At the Old Stoney Inn in Glendon, turn RIGHT
   onto Island Park Drive
Stay on Island Park Drive for several miles (at
   least 4-5 miles), go past Ashland Chemicals and
   the SPCA, & Pichel s Corn stand (good corn)
When Island Park Drive comes to an end at a stop
   sign, go LEFT---follow sign to Hellertown
Go to the next stop sign and go straight (this is
   the junction of Hellertown Road & Lower Saucon Rd.)
You want to be on Lower Saucon Rd
Go about 1 mile and look for flags and signs on the
   right for Marlin Lake; it is right past a tire
   store on the right.

St Joseph's - Graduated 1934; Easton H.S.- Graduated 1938; Catholic Univ.- Graduated - BS In Commerce 1942. Georgetown Univ - Jurist Doctor 1949.

Military Service: Lt., US Navy - 1942-44,

Named to Catholic U Sports Hall of Fame for Football 1988

Presently retired from his law practice with Schroeder and Ryder.

Hobbles: Attending or watching televised football games swimming at the community swim center: picking produce at Butlers Orchards; beer can collector.

Jack was the first Editor of the Schroeder News Bulletin.

Married September 13th, 1943, to Mary McNulty

Children Nancy, John & Mark
Mary died of cancer Oct 1969.
April 1970 married Patricia N. DuMont, a widow with
three children; Rachel, Debbie, and John.

Nancy - married to Robert Sheck and has two children; Stephanie and Scott; Rob teaches computer Repair at Ft. Meade MD, while Nancy is a temporary. During a free weekend she shows her black Great Dane, Tar Baby, at dog shows. Nancy will be taking two classes this fall at Montgomery College.

John Jr., single, department head of mailroom/supply, Montgomery County Judicial Center; Rebuilds antique Harley Davidson Motorcycles or anything else that crosses his path.; collects Lionel trains.

Mark, married to Lois with two children Ashley and Drew. Mark is in the US Navy, stationed in California. Lois is a manager of a beauty supply store.

Rachel, single, is a assistant sales manager of the box office for the Kennedy Center.

Debbie- mother of Rose Ann and Tony, Debbie is presently attending the Univ. of West Florida.

John - single, presently working with Businessland in computer sales (and who gratiously donated his Wyse pc286 to produce this newsletter).
